United States 3 day Walt Disney Company said it would at the Disney theme park in the United States laid off 1900 people. Associated Press quoted "Los Angeles Times" reports that the layoffs are the company's various theme parks and tourist attractions of resources as part of a reorganization plan.
"Los Angeles Times" reports that include Disney's Disneyland and DisneyWorld theme parks, including the recent decline in the number of tourists. In order to cope with the financial crisis sweeping the nation, Walt Disney Company announced that it would layoff 1,200 people, as well as 700 positions vacant. Lay-offs will be located in Orlando, Florida for Disneyland.
Disney said in a statement: "The decision to layoff is not easily made, but at home to maintain its leading position in the tourism industry is essential, but layoffs are a reflection of the current economic situation of the United States."
It is reported that the Walt Disney Company employs about 8,000 people, in January to buy out the implementation of 600 service employees, and in February issued a restructuring plan.
